amazing

I was quite nervous before getting the photoshoot done, but once we started Rebecca was absolutely AMAZING at making me feel comfortable, and just making it more fun, even in the middle of Edinburgh where there were loads of people going past. It was a really fun experience – I’ve got a cheek-ache from laughing so much, and not fake laughing – proper laughing! The photos are absolutely amazing! I usually hate photos of myself, but these are beautiful photos – I’m really, really happy with them.

THE VENUE

As you can see from Marti's colourful photos above and Jen, Katie and Hitomi's photos below, the Royal Mile has a wealth of really wonderful backgrounds to use. From the old buildings and pavements to the castle itself, the murals and colourful shops, and at the bottom - the base of Arthurs Seat for something more green and rugged looking. There are coffee shops and book shops - the list is endless! There's so much scope for fabulous brand photographs.

Once you've submitted your questionnaire, I will make a plan for the best locations along the Royal Mile for us to take photographs. I will create a plan in a way that makes the most of the time we have together.

We will meet at a designated spot and go for a short walk to get you a set fantastic photographs!

Preparation

After you book you'll be immediately directed to a web page where you can download my brand mini session welcome guide. This guide will give you LOADS of really useful information to help you prepare for your session - from what to wear, to what to bring and more.

After that, you'll also be sent a questionnaire to complete. This questionnaire helps me to get to know your brand so that I can craft a unique and engaging set of photographs, perfect to show off your brand.

Before the session I'll send you detailed photography plan so you know exactly where to meet, what photographs will be taken, and where we'll be walking during your session.

The session

On the day we'll meet at the designated spot then go for a walk capturing photographs on the way. We can include props, small outfit changes (jacket/accessories etc.) and we'll photograph in a way that helps the images feel like they're taken over several days.

Worried about being in front of the camera? Try not to stress too much! One of my superpowers is my ability to make even the most camera-shy feel comfortable. On the day I will guide you in exactly what to do and how to do it to ensure you’re never left feeling weird and awkward.

Trust me. As a recovering photo-avoider I totally get it. I will help you every step of the way.

EVERYONE comes away from a session with me saying how easy it was, and how much they enjoyed it.

AFTERWARD

Two weeks after your session you'll receive a link to an online gallery where you can view the photographs. There's a lovely slideshow set to music to enjoy and the option to 'favourite' your photographs, so you can easily narrow down which you'd like to keep.

There are a whopping 15 images included in the cost of the brand mini-session. This is plenty for a refresh of your images, a starting website, or to top up your social media. These fifteen images can be downloaded in both full resolution and web resolution formats, so you can use them straight away.

You'll also be given access to my online 'Make the best of your images' short course. This course will guide you through how to store, access and use your images well - making the best of your investment.

wonderful brand photography
Rebecca, these fantastic images are a testament to your wonderful brand photography and to your whole approach to the shoot. You listened carefully, advised and took the time to craft a plan, resulting in images that really have answered my brief. Thank you.

Who am I and what do I know?

Hello! I'm Rebecca, and Edinburgh based brand photographer and filmmaker.

I play many roles in my daily life – mother, daughter, wife, photographer, business mentor, photography trainer, and entrepreneur. I also love playing music, singing in musical theatre, scoffing fancy food and sipping gin (though not simultaneously).

Working with businesses is the BEST part of my job. It's very creative, and I get to meet lots of wonderful folk with interesting jobs - all working to change their patch of the world.

Shining a light on what makes businesses great, helping them stand out so that they can find their dream clients and giving them the confidence to succeed lights up my days. I strive to provide the support I wish I'd had when I started a business.

I have two superpowers (aren't I lucky?) The first is my ability to make my clients feel supremely comfortable in front of my camera. I understand that, for some, the idea of a photoshoot is the stuff nightmares are made of. You're out alone; I'm a recovering photo-avoider myself. I get it. You'll feel well-prepared, excited, and at ease on the day. Promise.

My second superpower is getting to the heart of your business - understanding who you are and why you do what you do, then translating that into creative imagery and film - shining a light on what's unique about what you do.

I've been a professional photographer for a very, VERY long time. It's a career that inspires and motivates me - there's nothing quite like helping a fellow business owner succeed in life and work.
