Tucked away just off Linlithgow’s bustling High Street, The Light Room is a warm, relaxed space designed for connection, creativity and quiet thinking. With wooden panelling, leafy plants and soft lighting, it feels more like a cosy retreat than a venue—and yet it’s incredibly flexible too.

Whether you're running a mindful workshop, holding a board meeting, hosting a book club, or gathering a small group for creative collaboration, The Light Room offers a professional, calming space to make it happen.


What's included

  • Seating for up to 10 people (boardroom, conference style or in the round), or for up to 6 people lounge style
  • Flexible furniture layout – choose from boardroom, lounge or workshop-style set-up
  • Whiteboard, flip chart and HDMI connection to a large TV included
  • Tea, coffee and biscuits are always on hand (you’re very welcome to bring food too!)
  • A kitchenette with plates, cutlery, mugs and serving dishes
  • Two toilets just off the main room
  • Upstairs breakout space (available on request)

A peaceful spot, right in the heart of Linlithgow

You’ll find The Light Room inside the Rebecca Holmes Photography studio, in the annexe of Bryerton House. Just five minutes' walk from Linlithgow train station and close to all major bus routes, it’s easy to reach for local attendees and visitors alike. Nearby parking is plentiful and affordable.

Although we’re close to the centre of town, the space itself is tucked quietly away—perfect for when you need a little breathing space to focus, think, create or share.

Catering support can also be arranged on request—Linlithgow has some brilliant local cafés and restaurants we love to work with.

Pricing and hire info

The Light Room is available to hire from 9am to 10pm, seven days a week.

£20 per hour
(includes tea, coffee and a well-stocked biscuit tin)

We welcome:

  • Quiet events that value calm, respectful space

Please note: The upstairs studio is a working photography space, so hirers are asked to respect the equipment and space. While the Light Room is suitable for many types of events, it’s not available for children’s parties or high-volume events.
