It’s a warm, quiet, plant-filled space tucked just off Linlithgow’s High Street - with a lovely, gentle energy that makes it really easy to focus. There’s good coffee (always), fast Wi-Fi, and a few like-minded folk quietly cracking on with their own thing. No distractions. No fuss. Just a calm space to think clearly and get stuff done.

You can book a desk by the hour, half-day or full-day. There’s always plenty of space to settle in, and everything you need is right here — proper comfy chairs, sockets, kitchen bits, peace.

Whether you're writing, planning, catching up on emails or finally ticking off that to-do list - you’re very welcome.

"I worked from the Light Room earlier this week for a day and can honestly - what a joy! It was the day of Storm Floris, yet it was peaceful and gave me the headspace to be able to focus without getting up to quickly hang out the washing or pop on the dishwasher (which yes, can be useful when homeworking but not always if you are also a procrastinator like me!) Delicious coffee and biscuits, comfy seats and a very flexible, conducive working space. I've already booked my next session.... Thanks, Becs for offering up this beautiful space. A peaceful spot, right in the heart of Linlithgow

You’ll find The Light Room inside the Rebecca Holmes Photography studio, in the annexe of Bryerton House. Just five minutes' walk from Linlithgow train station and close to all major bus routes, it’s easy to reach for local attendees and visitors alike. Nearby parking is plentiful and affordable.

Although we’re close to the centre of town, the space itself is tucked quietly away - perfect for when you need a little breathing space to focus, think or create.

Catering support can also be arranged on request - Linlithgow has some brilliant local cafés and restaurants we love to work with.

Hot Desk Pricing and hire info

Desk hire at The Light Room is available from 9 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. So long as the room isn't otherwise hired, it will be available for hot desking.

Half day (4 hours) - £10
Full day - £15

Bookings must be made with at least 24 hours notice.

While The Light Room can accommodate up to 10 people in a meeting scenario. We only accept up to 6 people on hot-desking days - thus giving you plenty of space and quiet.

Hire fee includes tea, coffee and a well-stocked biscuit tin.
