I’ve always loved the buzz of live theatre — that instant when the curtain lifts, the first note rings out, or a scene takes your breath away. Having been both on stage and behind the camera, I know just how powerful (and fleeting) those moments are, and why they deserve to be captured.

I’m Rebecca, and alongside photographing families and businesses across Scotland, I specialise in theatre, dance, and musician photography in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and beyond.

Why work with a fellow performer?

I’ve been on stage since I was three years old — first as a dancer, then as a musician, and now performing in sell-out, five-star shows at the Edinburgh Fringe and producing shows as a volunteer president of an Amateur theatre company. (Yes, I’ve even fallen off a stage mid-performance… the show must go on, right?)

I know what it feels like to be up there - pouring your heart into a character, a song, or a piece of choreography - I can anticipate the action, read the energy of a scene, and capture the exact split second that tells the story.

Photography isn’t just about recording a performance. It’s about honouring the craft, the thrill, and the connection between performer and audience.

DO I HAVE TO BE AN AMAZING/FLEXIBLE DANCER?

No! All levels welcome. We’ll choose poses that show off your strengths, giving you a beautiful set of images.

WHERE DO DANCE PHOTO SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?

We can decide together where best to take your photos. You may prefer indoors in a studio, or outside in the wild.

WHAT SHOES DO I WEAR TO A DANCE PHOTO SESSION?

When outdoors, most dancers either choose bare feet or an old pair of shoes. The choice is ultimately yours.

CAN YOU HELP US SELL THE PHOTOS YOU TAKE OF OUR PERFORMANCE?

Absolutely! I have the tools to help you sell the photos taken at your performance. Get in touch and we can workout a plan that works for you.

HOW DO I GET CHANGED ON LOCATION?

Easily! Either we go to a location which has specific training facilities, or we rig up a portable mini changing room for the purpose. Got a big dressing gown? That and a towel works a treat!
