The Studio

A safe, beautiful space for creativity, connection and being seen.

Tucked away in Linlithgow, just outside Edinburgh, you’ll find a little creative sanctuary I like to call The Studio. It’s where I photograph families and brands, teach workshops, and – maybe most importantly – hold space for others to create, connect and feel at home.

The studio is split across two spaces:

Upstairs: A bright, flexible photography studio – available for my own shoots and also for hire by fellow photographers.
Downstairs (The Light Room): A calm, cosy event space for workshops, pop-up shops, meetings, therapy sessions and more.

Together, these spaces were born from a mission:
To create a warm, welcoming home for creativity – where women and families feel seen, celebrated and uplifted.

A place where connection runs deep, and inspiration flows easily.

DIRECTIONS TO THE 'Light Room' Studio

The Rebecca Holmes Photography Studio is in the centre of Linlithgow. The address is 129A High Street, and it sits behind Byerton House (currently occupied by EKJN Architects).

The best place to park is either on the High Street, or at the Vennel carpark, up near The Linlithgow Burgh Halls. Put 'Kirkgate, Linlithgow' into the sat nav and the car park is just off there. There is a fee for parking there Monday to Saturday, but it's minimal.

If coming by train, get off at Linlithgow station, then exit the station onto the Linlithgow High Street. Turn left and the studio is about a five minute walk on the left hand side.

To access the studio, please come up the walkway between EKJN Architects, and Fair Tradewinds. The building is white and is at the end of that walkway on the left.

Meet Your Hosts

I’m Rebecca – a photographer with over twenty years' experience capturing people at their most real and radiant. Based here in Linlithgow, but covering the Lothians and travelling all over Scotland, I also teach photography and run mentoring workshops for fellow creatives. My happy place is behind the camera… or deep in conversation over coffee.

David is my husband – an IT whizz by trade, but truly in his element when he’s hosting. If he hadn’t ended up in tech, he’d be managing a boutique hotel somewhere beautiful (probably while serving you his legendary homemade fudge). He runs Aye Fudge, a wee local company whose sweet treats are much loved here in Linlithgow.

Together, we parent three incredible girls, travel when we can, and juggle family life with a healthy dose of humour and wine. We’re the team behind The Studio – hosting, welcoming and supporting the wonderful folk who walk through its doors.
